Bandhavgarh National Park – A Wildlife Paradise
Bandhavgarh National Park, located in the Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh, is one of India’s most famous tiger reserves and wildlife sanctuaries. The name Bandhavgarh comes from the ancient Bandhavgarh Fort, believed to be gifted by Lord Rama to his brother Lakshmana (Bandhav means brother, Garh means fort).

Once a hunting ground for the Maharajas of Rewa, it was declared a national park in 1968 and later became part of Project Tiger in 1993.
